Many of us here at SP Marketplace are transplants of the Silicon Valley rat race. Our headquarters is located in one of the most beautiful areas in the world, the Sierra foothills. Our mission is to optimize time spent working and time spent playing. We ski in the morning from Lake Tahoe and play golf in the afternoon under the California sun. 

This is only possible through our own products in a Digital Workplace on Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Teams. Our entire business serves over 1000 customers worldwide. We use Office 365 and SharePoint, as well as all of our own products to do business, including an accounting system. All of our work here at SP Marketplace is done online, including meetings, demonstrations, services, and support. We possess no servers, but; most importantly, here at SP Marketplace, we practice what we preach.

How SP Marketplace got started

SP Marketplace was founded in 2012 in the Sierra foothills outside of Sacramento, California, by two Silicon Valley veterans with the vision of leveraging cloud technology to redefine how people work. With the release of Office 365, the founders saw an opportunity to leverage the platform to build next generation business solutions for small to medium businesses. The products, operational portals, and applications built on Office 365 and SharePoint now form the foundation of a Digital Workplace used by over a thousand businesses worldwide.

SP Marketplace's passion, knowledge, and experience drives us to provide a way for businesses to redefine productivity by joining everyday processes with collaborative tools to deliver a Digital Workplace for employees and partners. Through our products, SP Marketplace aspires to empower once siloed functional departments, such as HR, Marketing, Sales, and IT to deliver services through a consistent portal structure. The team at SP Marketplace is composed of industry veterans who understand the struggle of building a company from the ground up, as well as experts who know and understand the power and capabilities of Office 365 and SharePoint in order to transform the way businesses operate.
